The Passing of a Warrior: Mike Allerton

On both a sad (for us still here) and joyous note (for those in Christ who are already in Heaven), fellow sheepdog Mike Allerton died at home last Saturday night. I just found out yesterday from a fellow TCM colleague and I spoke briefly at his memorial last night. In talking to his wife Kathy, Mike's death at age 64 (he married Kathy on 9/11/64 - "911" being fitting for a warrior) was very sudden and unexpected and came after God previously twice healed him from cancer. Mike had been a great part of our early Centurion Ministry Bible studies and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him in this life. Mike had been working with the U.S. Marshals at the Federal courthouse and previously served with the Lincoln (NE) Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, McCook (NE) Police Department and Red Willow Sheriff's Department.

Folks, we never know when our time will come. Are you right with God? Are you living for Him? If not, give me a shout and I'll help you with that.

Please remember Kathy and Mike's family (both natural and those in law enforcement) in your prayers. Mike's obituary and related info can be found at http://www.horancares.com/ or http://www.carpenterbreland.com/.
